The Destruction Duo Strikes Again

Ben and Lauren came out of the gate strong on sleeping in their new beds, but things have changed. The biggest change is that Lauren can now open doors. From what I can piece together; after I put the babies to bed they get up and work together to spread toys over every square inch of their floor. Then they move to the door. Lauren makes several attempts at the door while Ben waits patiently for it to open, when it does he runs for the hills with a wild look in his eyes and a huge grin on his face. The problem is that they are exhausted. They didn't take a morning nap; I assumed that they must not be tired if they were able to muster enough energy to escape. I was wrong, poor Ben was falling asleep in his lunch. I assumed that the afternoon nap would be easy since they were so tired. I was wrong, they laid down nice, but as soon as they finished their milk they got their second wind and trashed their room again, then escaped. Desperate times call for desperate measures. We turned the doorknob around so the lock was on the outside, just like we did when Jack went to a big boy bed. Go ahead, call CPS, if you have a better idea I am open to suggestions! When I checked on them after they had quieted down, I found them both asleep on the floor in front of the door. Jack was always smart enough to go back to bed after his nighttime escapades.

Ben and Lauren have been perfecting the cutest trick. They stand with their feet and head and hands on the floor prepared to do a somersault. They can't perform the somersault themselves, they wait for someone to take their ankles and flip them over. As soon as you flip them they are rolling over and preparing to do it again. They will do it over and over as long as there is someone to flip them.
