Safe

Last night a tornado touched down just east of us, there was rotation just a couple of miles from us and 100 mph winds in our backyard. I gathered the twins from their cribs as Travis rounded up Jack and we headed for the closet under the stairs. We played catch with Ben and Lauren's stuffed animals, which then turned into a game of throwing it at each other's heads. As all three of my kids giggled, I looked into my husband's eyes and felt so safe knowing that we were all together.
