I Am Getting Soft

I used to make fun of my mom when some day-to-day event would move her to tears. Today 3 local people died in auto accidents during their morning commute. I can't help but think that was someone's parent on their way to work, just trying to make the best life possible for their kids. It was someone's child, someone's sibling and someone's spouse. What if it was Travis? How would our lives change? What would we do? How would we go on? Today many lives changed because these people were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Meanwhile, there are people sitting in traffic fretting because they are going to be late. Thinking they will have to stay late because they arrived late. Concerned that their weekend will be delayed. Thank God it wasn't our lives that were changed today!
